Each year Alice Springs' theatre and arts festival sees dozens of local and touring acts perform in the Red Centre. "Curl Mokney" (aka "Bush Week") was Kieran's debut solo performance on opening night in The Dome. A largley family based audience were treated to a  trio of odd characters; Reggie the Scout Leader, Hippy, and Bird. The show was well received by all, with Bird (pictured) being affectionately renamed by children as "Chicken".

 

Kieran developed this show out of his poem "Bill of Old" during a workshop with Darwin based clown, Anna Thomson. Kieran also worked closely with Kate Emery, as an outside eye, co-deviser and director, while also providing the same assistance with her show "Out: Summer Exodus".

Kieran and Kate will work together in 2024 following Kate's success with grant funding through Red Hot Arts' 'Project Seed' initiative.
