Improvisation

Improv Theatre Sydney (ITS) is amongst the best places in Australia to learn long-form improvisation. The notorius "Harold", developed by Del Close and Charna Halpern of ImprovOlympic, is a fundamentalaspect of ITS's curriculum. Kieran studied at ITS from 2018-2022, and has taken part in everything the community has offered, while giving his all to experimental nights, House Teams,  and ensemble shows.

House Teams form a core part of the ITS scene, performing weekly shows to diverse audiences, experimenting in form and providing an opportunity for graduates to hone their craft. "Led's Mum, Lynn Zeppelin" was formed in the beginning of 2022 under the mentorship of Cale Bain and Clare Cavanagh.

Ensemble Shows at ITS provided students to see and perform with their teachers and other House Team members.

Lines of Best Fit formed part of PhD student Oliva McRae's research into whether "science improv can be used to engage broader audiences with science". As an ensemble with Jeromaia Detto, Tom Stevenson and Ru Halwalla (Scary Strangers), research/shows were conducted at National Science Week, International Womens Day, and Splendour in the Grass.

Kieran currently runs improvisation classes with On the Wing, in Alice Springs. Classes are for beginners and people with some performance experience
